Coasteering in Albufeira is a guided activity where you jump from cliffs between 2 and 8 meters, climb rock faces, swim through caves and walk hidden stretches of the Algarve coastline. The experience

You meet at the shop at the entrance to Sao Rafael beach, where you leave your belongings and get a briefing on how coasteering works. The guides are locals who have lived in the area for years and know the coastline in detail. After gearing up (wetsuit, lifevest, helmet, shoes and gloves all provided), you walk to the first jump. The heights range from 2 to 8 meters, and you do four or five of them at different spots, with the team watching to make sure you're safe the whole time.

Between jumps you explore sea caves carved into the cliffs, then finish on a secret beach that most visitors never find. The route stays small by design: groups max out at eight people, which means the guide can adjust the pace and the stops to what your group wants to do. The activity takes two hours from start to finish, and you're back at the shop to hand in the gear and dry off.

The activity depends on sea conditions. If conditions are unsafe on the day you book, the operator will reschedule you or offer a refund.
