Warsaw Old Town & Royal Castle private tour with museum
Warsaw's three essential stops in one afternoon: the Old Town square, a baroque castle, and the museum that holds 1944
A private tour of Warsaw for groups of 2 to 6 people covers the Old Town with its market square and Royal Castle, then the Warsaw Uprising Museum—your personal driver picks you up from your hotel and handles transport between stops, while audio-guides in multiple languages are included at both sites.
Step-by-step itinerary
Explore Warsaw Old Town and Museums
- Visit Warsaw Old Town city square
- See the Royal Castle and its chambers
- Tour the Warsaw Uprising Museum exhibits
The Experience
You start from your hotel or apartment. A personal driver arrives to collect your group—nobody else in the car, just the people you came with. From there, the day moves through Warsaw's three landmarks without the logistics of figuring out how to reach them. The Old Town comes first: the market square ringed by characteristic tenements, the Siren fountain at its center (the city symbol), and the Castle Square with Sigismund's Column nearby. The Royal Route, the main artery connecting two former royal residences, runs through this area lined with cafes, restaurants and galleries. Audio-guides in your choice of language walk you through what you're standing in front of.
The Royal Castle sits at Castle Square—a baroque-classicist residence that was the seat of Polish princes from the 16th century onward, then the Chief of State's residence in the 20th. Inside are the royal chambers built for King Stanisław August Poniatowski, the Sejm chambers, and rooms like the Throne Room in red velvet and gold, the Knight Room, and the Ballroom with Poland's largest ceiling fresco. The multimedia exhibition "The destruction and rebuilding of the Castle" shows what happened to the building itself. Your driver takes you from the Old Town to the museum when that stop is done.
The Warsaw Uprising Museum is not a conventional museum—it's a time machine back to 1944, when Warsaw was nearly demolished and a generation of young Poles perished in the rising. The multimedia exhibition shows the fight and daily lives of the uprising participants alongside the occupation's horrors, the international situation at the time, and what happened to survivors afterward. You'll see over 1000 authentic exhibits, 1500 photographs and films, and a 5-minute 3D simulation of a flight over the destroyed city. Audio-guides are available in 25 languages. Your driver is at your disposal throughout, and all transport, taxes and audio-guides are included in the price.

What is the Warsaw Old Town actually like when you get there?
The Warsaw Old Town is the city's most prominent historic district, centered on a market square surrounded by characteristic tenements and a fountain sculpture of the Siren, Warsaw's symbol. The Royal Route, the city's main artery, begins here and connects two former royal residences; the area is lined with atmospheric cafes, restaurants and art galleries.
Can I add a live guide to explain the Royal Castle instead of using the audio-guide?
Yes—a licensed tour guide dedicated only to your group can be added to the Royal Castle visit for an extra charge of 99 euros, or to the Warsaw Uprising Museum for 9 euros, if available at the time you book.
How does pickup work if I'm staying outside central Warsaw?
Your personal driver picks you up from your hotel or apartment anywhere in Warsaw and returns you there at the end of the tour, so you don't need to arrange transport or navigate to a meeting point.
What languages are the audio-guides available in?
At the Royal Castle, audio-guides are available in Polish, English, German, Russian, French, Italian and Spanish. At the Warsaw Uprising Museum, they're offered in 25 languages including English, French, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian, Japanese, Chinese, and many others.
How many people can go on this tour?
Your group can be 2 to 6 people—the minimum is 2 and the maximum is 6, and you don't share the vehicle or guide with anyone outside your party.
Is the tour accessible for people with mobility needs?
Yes—all areas and surfaces are wheelchair accessible, transportation options are wheelchair accessible, and the tour is suitable for all physical fitness levels. Infants and small children can travel in a pram or stroller, and specialized infant seats are available.
