Step-by-step itinerary
Explore Sacred Valley and return to Cusco
- Pick up from hotel at 7:30 am

- Visit Ollantaytambo archaeological site
- Stop at Chinchero village and sites
- Return to Cusco city center
The Experience
The minibus picks you up from your hotel around 7:30 am and heads into the mountains toward Pisac. Once there, you walk the archaeological site—terraces and temples built into the hillside—then browse the artisan market. The route then drops into the valley to Urubamba, where you stop for a buffet lunch at a tourist restaurant with Andean dishes and regional specialties.
The afternoon takes you to Ollantaytambo, a fortress site where the guide walks you through its layout and history. From there, the minibus returns to Cusco on a different road, stopping in Chinchero—another village with its own archaeological site, colonial chapel and weaving families you can watch at work. The day ends back in the city center at San Francisco Square, roughly 11 hours after you left.
A professional driver handles the mountain roads and the timing, so the four stops stay linked without you piecing together connections or meals. The guide—in English or Spanish—stays with the group throughout. If you want entry to the archaeological sites, you can add those tickets when you book.

What's actually inside the Pisac archaeological site that we'll see?
Pisac holds terraced agricultural structures and temple ruins built high on the mountainside. The site shows how the Incas engineered farming into steep terrain, and you walk among the terraces and stone structures before heading down to the artisan market in the town below.
Is the buffet lunch included in the tour price?
Yes. Lunch is a buffet at Puka Punku restaurant in Urubamba, with a range of local and Andean dishes included in the tour cost.
Do I need to buy entrance tickets to the archaeological sites separately?
Entrance tickets are optional and added at checkout. If you choose to include them, they cover entry to Pisac, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero. Without them, you see the sites from outside or the guide explains them from the road.
How much time do we spend at each stop?
The itinerary is fixed to fit all four sites into the day. Pisac and its market take the morning, Ollantaytambo takes the early afternoon, and Chinchero is a shorter stop on the return to Cusco. The guide manages the pace to keep the full route on schedule.
What language does the guide speak?
The guide speaks either English or Spanish, and you choose which when you book.
Will the minibus pick me up from my hotel?
Yes. Hotel pickup is included. The minibus collects you around 7:30 am and drops you back at San Francisco Square in Cusco at the end of the day.
