Beyond the historical sites, you can add the Lahore Museum, which holds artifacts from Hinduism, Sikhism and Buddhism and was built in the 1860s; the Pakistan Monument and Museum, opened in 2017, which covers 900 years of national history; Fort Food Street, where traditional music and puppet shows run alongside hawker stalls in the shadow of the fort; or the Walled City, where narrow streets and administrative compounds from Mughal rule let you walk back centuries. Shopping malls like Packages and modern bazaars like Anarkali Bazar round out the options. The Wagah Border, 30 minutes from central Lahore, is where you watch the daily flag ceremony and ranger parade between Pakistan and India — a high-energy event with crowds cheering their own soldiers.
