The Experience
The first thing I noticed at the Chaukhandi Tombs was the way the morning light caught on the sandstone: almost gold, but not quite. Our driver had picked us up in Karachi just after sunrise (I’d barely woken up), and by the time we reached those carved graves, it was already warm.
