Dolphin Watching & Snorkeling in Muscat: 3-Hour Boat Experience
Search for dolphins, then dive into the water yourself
A 3-hour dolphin watching and snorkeling activity in Muscat combines boat-based wildlife viewing with guided snorkeling in clear coastal waters. The crew provides snorkeling equipment, life jackets, water, juice and a GoPro camera; guides speak English, Arabic, Hindi, Urdu and one additional language. Children from age 3 are welcome, and the experience suits all fitness levels, though it is not recommended for pregnant travelers or those with spinal or cardiovascular concerns.
The Experience
The boat departs to search for dolphins along Muscat's coastline, where an experienced crew navigates the waters to spot them in their natural habitat. Dolphin sightings are not guaranteed—they are wild animals—but the crew will position you for the best possible chance to see them. The first part of the trip focuses on cruising and watching, with the crew pointing out marine life and explaining what you are seeing.
Once the crew finds a good snorkeling spot, you'll enter the clear water with provided equipment and dive among colorful fish and marine life. Whether you are a first-time snorkeler or an experienced swimmer, the crew stays with you throughout, adjusting the pace to your comfort. The snorkeling gear, life jacket, and GoPro camera are all included, so you can capture footage without bringing your own equipment. Water and juice are provided to keep you hydrated between the two activities.
The full experience runs 3 hours from start to finish. Guides conduct the trip in English, Arabic, Hindi, Urdu or one of the additional languages offered, and children from age 3 can join. Infants sit on an adult's lap. Public transportation options are available near the departure point if you are arranging your own way there.
