The experience

The boat leaves Marina Bandar Al Rowdha at 8:30 a.m. and heads toward the Dimaniyat Islands across the Arabian Sea. The islands themselves are nine separate formations, each part of Oman's protected marine reserve, and the water around them is clear enough to see down to the coral beds without strain. Between the two snorkel sessions, you beach on one of the islands for a picnic lunch: thirty minutes to eat, rest and swim if you want to.
