Private Dolphin Watching & Snorkeling in Muscat
Dolphins, coral reefs, and a beach stop—all on one private boat
A 3-hour private boat tour from Muscat combines dolphin watching in the Arabian Sea, snorkeling over coral reefs and rays, and a beach swim, with snorkeling equipment and life jackets included. Your group travels alone on the boat with an experienced crew; dolphin sightings depend on sea and weather conditions.
The Experience
The boat departs from Marina Bandar Al Rowdha and heads into the Arabian Sea to search for dolphins in their natural habitat. You'll have the entire boat to yourself and your group, which means the crew can adjust the route and pace based on what you want to see and how long you want to stay in each spot. Sightings aren't guaranteed—dolphins move with the sea and weather—but the crew knows the waters and the patterns that bring them close.
Once you've watched for dolphins, the boat moves to a snorkeling site where you'll enter the water with provided equipment to see colorful fish, coral reefs, rays, and other marine life up close. A life jacket is included for safety, and the crew stays nearby. After snorkeling, you'll have time to swim and relax at a scenic beach before heading back to the marina. Juice and bottled water are provided throughout, and a GoPro camera is available if you want footage of the day.
The guide speaks English and Arabic, so communication is straightforward. The whole outing runs three hours, which keeps the day manageable—you're back by early afternoon with the rest of your day still open. Infants sit on an adult's lap, and the boat works for all fitness levels, though it's not suitable for people with spinal injuries or certain cardiovascular conditions.

Is this one for you?Three hours is short enough to fit into a morning or afternoon without eating your whole day, but long enough to move through dolphin watching, snorkeling, and a beach stop without rushing. If you need hotel pickup, arrange it when you book—it adds time and a fee depending on where you're staying.

What's included in the snorkeling part of the tour?
Snorkeling equipment and a life jacket are provided. You'll enter the water at a reef site to see fish, coral, rays and other marine life, with the crew nearby for safety and support.
Will the boat pick me up from my hotel?
Hotel pickup and drop-off can be arranged for an additional fee, depending on your hotel location. The standard meeting point is Marina Bandar Al Rowdha.
Is this tour suitable for young children?
Yes, infants and young children can join—infants sit on an adult's lap during the boat ride. The tour works for all fitness levels, though it's not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries or certain cardiovascular conditions.
What happens if the weather is bad on the day of my tour?
Dolphin sightings and exact locations are subject to sea and weather conditions. If conditions are unsafe for the boat, the operator will work with you on rescheduling or other options.
