The course sits at 4,500 feet in the Southern Alps with 180-degree views across the Wakatipu Basin: a par 3 layout with three tee boxes so you can choose your line. You get a pilot, a caddy, golf balls and clubs. The helicopter flight itself is the transport to and from the course, not a sightseeing add-on. Five balls per player is the standard allowance, and the day runs about 90 minutes from pickup to drop-off back in Queenstown.

This is a shared experience unless you book a private helicopter option: either the Eurocopter or the Squirrel. Shared departures mix you with other players on the same flight and course. Private options mean your group flies and plays alone. Minimum age is 15. The course closes during winter months when snow covers it, and all flights depend on weather.
