The experience
The tour starts with a drive from Kathmandu or Pokhara in a tourist coach, arriving in time for lunch and a briefing from your guide. That afternoon you paddle a canoe and walk jungle trails, watching for birds and other wildlife. Then you climb into the wooden tower (a structure with bedrooms, toilets and electric lights, built inside the forest itself), where a ranger stays with you through the night. The tower sits where you can hear animals moving: birds calling at dawn, deer grazing, rhinos and sometimes tigers in the distance.
Day two begins with breakfast in the tower, followed by another jungle walk. After lunch back at a base, you ride a jeep through open grassland for 2 to 2.5 hours, the best window for spotting larger wildlife. That evening you move to a 3-star resort hotel with deluxe rooms, where you eat dinner and watch a local dance performance before sleeping on a proper bed.
Day three is a morning departure: breakfast at 6:30, then the coach returns you to Kathmandu or Pokhara by 7am. The package covers the air-conditioned transport both ways, all meals (two lunches, two dinners, two breakfasts), both nights of accommodation, the canoe ride, both guided walks, and the jeep safari. You need only choose your departure city and show up.

Is this one for you?Book this tour if you want the tower night as the centerpiece and don't mind moving to a hotel for comfort on night two. The shared coach and guide work for anyone traveling solo or in a group. If you need a private vehicle or prefer to stay in the jungle both nights, look for a different package.

Top questions

Yes. Ticket types: Child (3 to 8 years); Infant (under 3).
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's it like sleeping in the jungle tower at night?
The tower is a wooden structure with bedrooms, toilets and electric lights, built inside the forest itself. A ranger stays in the tower with you through the night, so you have 24-hour support. You'll hear birds calling, deer moving and other wildlife sounds, though the tower is maintained and secure.
How much time do I spend on the jeep safari?
The jeep safari runs for 2 to 2.5 hours on day two, after you return from the jungle walk and eat lunch. It covers open grassland where larger animals are most visible.
What's included in the meals?
The package includes two lunches, two dinners and two breakfasts across the three days. One dinner is a packed meal in the tower. The other is at the resort hotel, followed by a local dance show.
Do I need to arrange my own transport from Kathmandu or Pokhara?
No, the air-conditioned tourist coach is included both ways. You choose whether you're starting from Kathmandu or Pokhara, and the driver picks you up and drops you back at the end of day three.
Is there a guide with me the whole time?
Yes. An English-speaking guide leads your canoe ride and jungle walks, and a ranger stays in the tower with you overnight. Both provide 24-hour support throughout the tour.
What wildlife might I see?
The guide will point out birds during walks and from the tower. Deer graze regularly in the area, and rhinos are common in Chitwan. Tigers do live in the park, though sightings are less frequent. The jeep safari on day two is the best window for spotting larger animals.
