Majorelle Garden and Camel Ride in Marrakech: Skip the Line
Camels move slower than cars, which is the whole point once you're inside the palms.
This half-day tour in Marrakech combines skip-the-line entry to Majorelle Garden, a 12-acre landscape designed by French artist Jacques Majorelle, with a camel ride through the Palmeraie, the ancient palm groves surrounding the city. You explore the garden's fountains and cactus beds, then mount and ride a camel at a laid-back pace through the palms, with a tea stop included. Hotel pickup and drop-off, an air-conditioned vehicle with a multilingual driver, entrance fees, and water are all included; morning and afternoon departures are available. The YSL museum is optional at checkout.

The Experience
How do you get to Majorelle Garden without standing in line, and what comes after? Your driver picks you up at your Marrakech hotel and takes you straight to the garden entrance. The 12-acre space holds 15 bird species, fountains fed by underground springs, and the distinctive cobalt-blue buildings and walls Jacques Majorelle designed in the 1920s. You walk the paths at your own pace—no group herding, no fixed stops—and the skip-the-line access means you're inside while the queue forms at the gate.
From there, the tour moves to the Palmeraie, the palm groves that ring Marrakech. Before you ride, the guide teaches you how to mount and sit on a camel, and then you set out on a 30- to 60-minute ride through the palms. The rhythm of the camel's walk is nothing like a car; the landscape unfolds at a different speed, and you see the varied terrain—palms, open ground, the distant Atlas—in a way that stays with you. A tea stop happens at the heart of the grove, where you sit and take in the quiet before heading back.
The whole day runs three to four hours from pickup to drop-off. Your driver speaks English, French, or Arabic, and the vehicle is air-conditioned. Water and entrance fees to both Majorelle Garden and the Berber Museum are included. If you want to add the YSL museum, you choose that option at checkout; otherwise, the tour stays as described.
