A two-hour quad bike adventure in Agafay Desert near Marrakech where you operate the bike through rocky terrain and dune-like landscape, with hotel pickup, a professional guide, safety gear and a tea break at a village home. Groups stay small, four to five quads, so you set your own pace on the trails. Children from age three are welcome.

The experience

You'll start at the base with safety and riding instructions before heading out on your quad. The guide leads a small group through the Agafay Desert at a pace you control, stopping first after about five minutes at a high point where the landscape opens up: white dunes, rocky outcrops and the Atlas Mountains visible on the horizon. This is where most riders pause to take pictures and let the scale of the place sink in.

The terrain shifts as you ride deeper into the desert. What looks like sand dunes is actually a rocky landscape that resembles the Sahara but sits much closer to Marrakech, so you get that contrast without the long drive. After two hours of riding, you'll pull into a local house for a cup of Moroccan mint tea and a chance to meet the people who live there. The stop lasts ten to fifteen minutes: long enough to rest and see how the village works, then you ride back to the base.

Hotel pickup and return are included, so you don't arrange transport. The quad, helmet, mask and all safety gear come with the booking, as does civil liability insurance. The whole experience runs about three hours from pickup to drop-off.
