The experience

The day starts with a 40-minute drive from Marrakech to the Agafay desert base. Once there, your guide runs through a 15-minute briefing on the quad bike controls and safety, then you ride for an hour across the desert landscape. The terrain shifts between sandy stretches and rocky ground as you navigate the open terrain. The guide leads the route and sets the pace.

Halfway through, you stop for a 15-minute tea break to rest and take in the views. Then you ride for another hour back to base by a different route, which changes what you see on the return. The quads are new equipment from established brands, and helmets are provided. When you arrive back at the base, you clean off the dust before the drive back to Marrakech.
