ATV Riding in Agadir: Sand Dunes, Beach & Berber Village
Three hours on your own quad across dunes, dirt tracks and the Atlantic shore.
ATV riding in Agadir puts you on your own quad for a three-hour run through sand dunes, argan forests, Berber countryside and a wild beach south of the city. You start from the village of Lamzar, 15 km south, with a five-minute briefing and protective gear; a driver and instructor lead the route. Midway through, you stop at a traditional house for Moroccan mint tea and cakes. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included, as are souvenir photos and videos. Children from age 4 can ride; you can choose to ride solo or share a quad with another person.
The Experience
The day starts with a shuttle from your hotel to Lamzar village, where you get your briefing, gear and quad. The route opens on dirt tracks out of the village, then moves onto sand tracks lined with argan trees and dunes that lead to Takad beach. Along the way you pass greenhouses growing the fruits and vegetables that stock the regional souks—the landscape shifts from cultivated land to open dune and back again. The pace is steady enough that riders of any fitness level can manage it, though you're operating the quad yourself the whole way.
Halfway through, you pull into a traditional Berber house for a break. Mint tea and cakes arrive while you rest, and this is where the ride pauses long enough to take in the scale of what you've crossed—the dunes behind you, the argan forest, the villages tucked into the valleys. After the stop, you cross through Takad village on ground-level alleys, then hit a stretch of small slopes and sand dunes that runs several kilometers through the countryside before heading back to Lamzar and your hotel.
The whole outing takes three hours. You ride your own quad—or share one with a travel companion if you choose that option—and the driver and instructor stay with the group throughout. Protective equipment, the briefing and souvenir photos and videos are all included. Wi-Fi is available, and the air-conditioned shuttle means the ride itself is the only time you're exposed to the heat.

Operated by Agadir Journey
Is this one for you?You operate the quad yourself for the full three hours, so this suits riders who want to handle the machine rather than watch a guide drive. The midway stop and the mix of dunes, forest and beach mean the pace stays varied—not a flat sprint across sand, but a route that shifts terrain and includes a cultural moment in a Berber house.
