The experience

The trip runs on the principle that the best photograph happens when you're standing in the right light at the right time. A professional photographer travels with you each day to make that happen: positioning you for sunrise and sunset, the hours when the landscape shifts color and shadow. A regional guide approved in the area walks alongside, sharing the history and culture of each place so your images carry context. Between them, you get both the technical instruction and the local knowledge that turns a snapshot into a photograph you'll want to show people.

You'll move through the Valley of Roses, Dades Gorge, Togha and the Skoura oasis, 30km from Ouarzazate, traveling between them in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. Each morning you're picked up from your hotel. Each evening you return to it. Breakfast and dinner are provided at your accommodation. The photographer and guide work with you throughout, disclosing technical shooting tips as the light changes and the landscape demands different approaches. By the end of the trip, you'll have mastered new photographic techniques and a portfolio of images from a region most visitors only pass through.
