The experience
The tour opens in Budva Old Town, where you wander through medieval streets in an ancient Mediterranean city. From there the route moves to Sveti Stefan, a fishing village built on a peninsula and known for its red-tiled roofs and narrow cobblestone paths that lead down to the beach. Lunch happens nearby, and you have time to walk the shoreline before the group moves on.
Bar's old fortress comes next: the mottled stone walls tell the story of Montenegro's medieval struggles against invasion, and you explore the site on foot. The final stop is Petrovac, a seaside town on the Adriatic where the day winds down. An air-conditioned vehicle carries the group between stops, and parking and fuel are covered in the price.
Choose a private tour with an English-speaking guide, a private tour with a Spanish-speaking guide, or shared travel without a guide. The full route takes seven to nine hours depending on how long you spend at each stop and where you take lunch.
