The experience

The day starts with pickup from your Cancun or Riviera Maya hotel in an air-conditioned bus. Xcaret sits in the Mayan jungle between underground rivers and cenotes, facing the Caribbean Sea, and the park itself is the itinerary: you move through it at your own pace, choosing which of the 50-plus attractions to enter. Water activities dominate the morning and afternoon: snorkel in three separate underground rivers with equipment provided, swim in natural seawater pools, wade through shallow cenotes, or float the lagoon and beach areas. Life jackets and inner tubes come with your admission.

The Plus Area sets this version apart from the standard Xcaret entry. You get a private locker, walk-in closet and bathroom access, which matters when you're moving between water activities and dry land all day. One meal at a restaurant of your choice comes with unlimited soft drinks, so you're not hunting for food between stops. Children's World has its own shallow cenotes and wading pools designed for younger swimmers, separate from the main water zones.

The México Espectacular show runs in the evening: a live performance celebrating Mexico's traditions, music and folklore that plays inside the park. The bus returns you to your hotel after the show ends, completing the 12-hour loop.
