The Experience

Day one at Xel-Há is yours to shape. The park opens its snorkeling in the caleta, an inflatable raft ride down the river, rope courses and 5-meter jumps, plus jungle trails that pass through cenotes and caves. Continental breakfast and buffet lunch are included, so you move between activities without hunting for food. What you do and how long you spend on each thing is up to you—some people spend the afternoon in the water, others chase the rope circuit or explore the grottoes on foot.

Day two flips to night. Xplor Fuego runs after sunset, and the zip line circuit here includes the tallest line in Riviera Maya. Beyond that: you drive an amphibious vehicle through cave passages, swim in a 350-meter stalactite river, paddle 570 meters down an underground river using hand paddles, land in a hammock over water, and walk through caverns. Dinner and snacks are included. The night setting changes how the parks feel—the same activities read differently when you are moving through darkness and cave systems lit only by what the park provides.

Round-trip transport from Tulum picks you up and returns you; the cardholder's ID is required at check-in. Closed shoes or water shoes are mandatory for the rope circuit and amphibious vehicle. Most activities have height and weight requirements (zip lines need 1.10 m minimum height and 40–136 kg weight range; the stalactite river swim requires 1 m height). Children under 12 need ID to verify age at the park entrance. Tours do not run on Sundays, and this package books up quickly—availability is confirmed when you reserve.

Top questions

What's the difference between the two parks on this 2-day trip?

Xel-Há on day one is a daytime all-inclusive park where you choose your activities—snorkeling, rope courses, cenote hikes and river rides. Xplor Fuego on day two operates at night and focuses on adrenaline activities: zip lines, amphibious vehicles, underground river paddling and cave swimming.

Do I need to know how to swim for the underwater activities?

Swimming ability is mandatory for the stalactite river swim and the raft activities at both parks. If you don't swim, you can still visit the parks and use the rest areas, but those specific activities won't be available to you.

What happens if I'm not tall or heavy enough for an activity?

Each activity has its own height and weight range. Zip lines require 1.10 m minimum height and 40–136 kg weight; the stalactite river swim needs 1 m height; amphibious vehicles need 1.10 m. If you don't meet the requirements for an activity, you simply skip it and do the others that fit your size.

Are meals included both days?

Yes. Day one includes continental breakfast and buffet lunch at Xel-Há. Day two includes dinner and snacks at Xplor Fuego. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in Xplor Fuego.

What do I need to bring and wear?

Bring your swimsuit, towels, extra clothes, and closed shoes or water shoes (mandatory for the rope circuit and amphibious vehicle). Use biodegradable sunscreen and insect repellent. Helmets and safety vests are provided and required for all activities.

Does the price include pickup from my hotel in Tulum?

Yes, round-trip transport from Tulum is included. If you're staying in Cancun, Playa del Carmen or elsewhere in Riviera Maya, you can add transport at checkout for an additional fee.
