The experience
The tour starts at your hotel and takes you first to Tulum Ruins, where the operator hands you the entrance ticket and leaves you to explore the Mayan site freely for two hours. You move at your own pace through the ruins without a guide narrating. Just the ancient structures, the coastal setting and the time to look as long as you want at each stop.
After the ruins, the air-conditioned vehicle takes you to Casa Tortuga, where four cenotes with clear emerald water wait. You swim in each one, moving between them as part of the same stop. The cenotes are the heart of the second half. The itinerary also includes a walk through Tulum downtown shops before the return to your hotel. Cold drinks and bottled water travel with you throughout.
The whole outing runs five hours maximum. A qualified driver handles transport. The guide is live and available in English or Spanish. Pickup is from your hotel, and the return is included.
