The experience

The day starts at your hotel with pickup and a drive to the Malecon, where you walk the waterfront while your guide talks through the port's history. From there you move inland to the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, one of Puerto Vallarta's defining landmarks, then head south toward Mismaloya. The route passes Los Arcos National Marine Park (a photo stop to catch the rock formations rising from the water) before arriving in the small town where the coffee factory and tequila distillery sit side by side.

At the distillery you see how tequila is made and taste it. The coffee factory visit happens the same stop. The whole outing runs about five hours including travel time, which can shift if traffic slows the drive. Your guide handles the pacing and the commentary throughout, and the driver brings you back to your hotel at the end. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a camera for Los Arcos.
