The experience
You start at the Malecón, Puerto Vallarta's waterfront promenade, and ride out past the Pier of the Dead toward Los Arcos: a cluster of majestic rock formations that rise from the water in front of Mismaloya beach. The site is a protected marine park where pelicans, seabirds and schools of fish live, so the water around the rocks is where you'll actually see the marine life, not just hear about it. Snorkeling gear is included, and you stop long enough to get in the water and look around.
From there you head to Colomitos, a small beach with calm, clear water and gentle waves. It's a break point in the ride: time to swim, snorkel again if you want, or just sit on the sand. The whole outing is two hours, which is long enough to cover both sites without the day feeling rushed or the ride becoming monotonous.
Riders of the Sea keeps groups small, so you get attention from the guide rather than being one of thirty people on a boat. The guide speaks English or Spanish depending on the group. You pick your setup at checkout: ride your own jet ski solo, or share a two-person ski with someone else in your party.

Top questions
What languages is the guide in?
Live guide in English and Spanish.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What are Los Arcos and why do people snorkel there?
Los Arcos is a protected marine park: a set of imposing rock formations rising from the sea in front of Mismaloya beach. It's protected because seabirds like pelicans nest there and fish and crustaceans live in the surrounding waters, so snorkeling here means you're actually in the water where the marine life is.
Do I need jet ski experience to book this tour?
No. The tour is suitable for all physical fitness levels. If you're riding solo, the guide will show you how to operate the ski. If you're sharing a two-person ski, your partner or the guide handles the controls.
What's the difference between the one-person and two-person jet ski options?
The one-person option means you ride your own ski for the full two hours. The two-person option means you share a ski with someone else (either someone in your group or another participant), and take turns or ride together depending on the setup.
How long is the ride, and what happens at each stop?
The tour is two hours total. You ride from the Malecón to Los Arcos, where you stop to snorkel around the rock formations and see the marine life. Then you ride to Colomitos beach, where you can swim, snorkel again, or rest before heading back.
Is snorkeling equipment provided, or do I need to bring my own?
Snorkeling equipment is included with your tour. You don't need to bring your own or pay extra for it.
