The experience
The dive starts with check-in at 12:30 p.m. and a boat departure at 1 p.m. After a ride of less than 30 minutes, you're in the water at the Under Water Museum (a collection of submerged sculptures on the seafloor), then move to Manchones Reef nearby. Both sites sit in shallow, peaceful water off Isla Mujeres, with the Caribbean full of marine life and visibility that lets you see the art and the reef structure clearly. The boat returns around 4 p.m., so the whole outing fits inside an afternoon.
Your PADI instructor leads both dives and stays with your group throughout. Scuba gear is included, along with bottles of purified drinking water. The operation runs small groups on its own fleet of boats, built for that scale rather than packed with dozens. You'll need to be a certified diver to book. The check-in and briefing happen on land before you board.
