Your own boat, your own crew, four hours on the Riviera Maya

You board a private 58-foot Azimut yacht at Puerto Aventuras with your group and a professional crew. You snorkel vibrant reefs, float on inflatables or paddle boards, and eat fresh ceviche and guacamole prepared during your charter while the open bar runs continuously. The captain and crew handle all logistics, timing, and service, leaving you to decide how to spend each hour. Four hours total, no other groups, no schedule.

4h

Step-by-step itinerary

Private yacht cruise and water activities

  • Depart from Puerto Aventuras
  • Cruise along Caribbean coastline
  • Swim in crystal clear waters
  • Snorkel vibrant reefs
  • Enjoy paddle boards and inflatables
  • Relax with drinks from open bar
  • Eat fresh ceviche and guacamole

The Experience

The captain's name is Miguel, and the first thing he does when you step aboard the Azimut is ask what you want to drink. Not in a formal way — just a quick check, like he's known you for years. That's the rhythm of this charter: the 58-foot yacht leaves Puerto Aventuras and heads into the Caribbean, and for the next four hours, the crew handles everything while you decide whether to snorkel, float on an inflatable, paddle out on a board, or sit with a drink and watch the coastline slip past. There's no schedule to follow, no other groups sharing the boat, no one else's music or conversation in the background.

The snorkeling happens in reefs that are close enough to reach in minutes but far enough out that the water is clear and the fish are used to seeing people. You get the equipment — mask, fins, snorkel — and a crew member points out where to go. Some people stay in the water for twenty minutes, some for two hours. While you're down there, the chef is on deck preparing ceviche from scratch, cutting the fish into small pieces and mixing it with lime, cilantro, and onion. The guacamole comes next, then a fruit platter. The open bar runs the whole time: tequila, rum, vodka, beer, whatever you want, mixed or straight. It's not a party boat with a DJ and a crowd; it's more like someone handed you the keys to a really nice kitchen and said, make yourself at home.

What makes this different from other private yacht charters in Playa del Carmen is that the food isn't an afterthought. The ceviche, the guacamole, the fresh fruit — these are things the chef prepares during your charter, not things that were made yesterday and reheated. If you want to upgrade to gourmet catering or add extra hours, the team can arrange that after you book. The paddle boards and inflatables are there if you want them, but they're not the point. The point is that you're on your own boat with your own crew, and nobody's rushing you.

Departure is from Puerto Aventuras, which is about 45 minutes south of Playa del Carmen. The crew meets you there, and you're on the water within minutes. The boat itself is the Azimut — a real yacht, not a catamaran or a speedboat — so the ride is smooth and the cabins below deck are comfortable if anyone needs to cool off. By the time you head back to Puerto Aventuras four hours later, you've snorkeled, eaten, drunk, and spent an entire afternoon on your own private piece of the Caribbean.

What’s included
