The crew is certified and English- or Italian-speaking. Snorkeling equipment, paddle boards, an open bar with beer, rum, tequila and wine, and fresh-made guacamole, chicken fajitas or shrimp ceviche are all included.

The experience

The yacht meets you at the Puerto Aventuras Marina pier, where the crew boards you and sets the course. You pick between two itineraries: a 45-minute run to a coral reef and nearby cenote with beach access, or a 20-minute southbound route to a calm cove with shallow water and a sandbar where other boats gather for the afternoon. Either way, the snorkeling gear is ready, the paddle boards are on deck, and the open bar runs the whole time: beer, rum, tequila, vodka, whisky and wine, plus juices and bottled water.

The crew handles the boat and the navigation. You handle the snorkel. The water in the cove stays shallow and calm. The reef option gives you deeper coral and more marine life, but the 45-minute transit means less time in the water. Fresh-made guacamole and either chicken fajitas or shrimp ceviche come out during the day. Fishing poles are on board if you want to try, and the paddle board is there if you want to drift separately for a while.

The yacht is 47 feet, certified, and meets all safety and security rules. The crew is warm and trained. Four hours total, start to finish, means you are back at the marina by early afternoon.
