Ziplining, kayaking & cenotes: 2 days at Xel-Ha & Xenotes
Rappel into cenotes and zip line across jungle canopy without planning the route
A two-day activity combining water sports at Xel-Ha park and four cenotes accessed via Xenotes, where you zip line, kayak, rappel and swim in freshwater pools. Round-trip transport from Cancun and Riviera Maya hotels, breakfast and lunch both days, and unlimited snorkeling gear are included; you choose which park to visit first. Minimum height of 4.5 feet and weight of 88 pounds required for zip lines; cenote roads are unpaved and cell service is unavailable in the jungle.
Step-by-step itinerary
Day 1 — Xel-Ha Park water activities and meals
- Enjoy breakfast buffet
- Participate in water activities
- Relax and enjoy open bar
- Have buffet lunch
Day 2 — Explore cenotes with activities and picnic
- Discover four different cenotes
- Enjoy zip lines and kayaking
- Have picnic lunch
The Experience
The two days split between Xel-Ha—a water park where you move at your own pace—and Xenotes, where four separate cenotes sit deep in the jungle. At Xel-Ha you swim in the inlet with fins and snorkel, zip line from a 131-foot lighthouse with 360-degree views, kayak, and rappel; the park runs an open bar with breakfast and lunch included, so you eat and drink without leaving to find food. Transport picks you up from your Cancun or Riviera Maya hotel and brings you back, which removes the logistics of getting to either place.
Xenotes takes you to four different cenotes where the water stays between 75 and 78 degrees year-round. You zip line, kayak and rappel in each one, moving between them by vehicle through jungle roads that are not paved—expect bumpy stretches. A picnic lunch is provided. The cenotes sit far enough into the jungle that cell service does not reach, so you are disconnected from messages and calls for the day. A live guide speaks English and Spanish and moves the group through both days.
You choose the order: Xel-Ha first or Xenotes first. The operator sends a boarding pass you must print before arrival—a blank one that you fill in, not the green Viator receipt. Wear a swimsuit and water shoes; bring an extra set of clothes, a towel, biodegradable sunscreen and insect repellent. A life jacket is mandatory during all water activities. Children over 6 can attend; those under 12 need an ID to verify age for the zip line.

Is this one for you?Two full days means you commit to both parks without splitting them across separate bookings, which locks in the transport and meals as one package. If your schedule only has one day free, this does not fit—look for a single-park option instead.
