The experience
Casela Nature Park is built around five distinct zones, each offering a different angle on the reserve. Thrill Mountain holds the zip-lines (three single and two double runs) plus a Nepalese Bridge and Safari Quad bike routes for riders who want speed over scenery. Predator Kingdom is where you get close to lions, tigers and cheetahs with expert guides on hand. African Safari recreates a savannah setting with giraffes, zebras, rhinos and exotic birds, accessible by foot or Eco-ryder tour. Pangia Birds and Rides rounds out the park with family attractions and bird encounters. The signature experience is the Walk with Lion: supervised by rangers, you step into the predator kingdom and stand near the lions themselves. A moment most travelers come to Mauritius to have.
After the park, the tour moves to Flic en Flac Beach, one of the longest on the island at roughly eight kilometres. The sand is white and wide. Casuarina trees line the shore for shade. You can swim in the Indian Ocean, snorkel the coral reef and warm lagoon, or sit with a meal from the street food stands that run along the beach: fresh seafood and Mauritian snacks served with a view of the water. If diving interests you, Snake Reef and Cathedral are both accessible from here, though snorkeling alone gives you a look at the marine life without the certification.
The vehicle is air-conditioned and equipped with WiFi and bottled water for the drive between sites. Your guide speaks English or French and travels with the group throughout. Hotel pickup is included, and the full day typically runs between five and eight hours depending on how you pace the park and the beach.

Top questions
What languages is the guide in?
Live guide in English and French.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What animals can I see at Casela Nature Park?
Casela holds lions, tigers, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, rhinos and exotic birds across its five zones. The Predator Kingdom houses the big cats. African Safari has the grazing animals and birds. The Walk with Lion lets you stand near the lions under ranger supervision: the park's most distinctive encounter.
Is the lion walk safe, and how close do you actually get?
The Walk with Lion is supervised by the park's rangers and caretakers. You step into the predator kingdom and experience the lions up close under their guidance. The park describes it as a chance to witness the majesty of the lions and their power in a controlled setting.
How much time do I spend at Flic en Flac Beach?
The tour runs 5 to 8 hours total, so the time at Flic en Flac depends on how long you spend exploring Casela first. The beach itself stretches eight kilometres, so you have room to swim, snorkel, rest under the trees or eat at the beachside food stands without feeling rushed.
Can I snorkel or dive at Flic en Flac, or do I need to book that separately?
Snorkeling is something you can do on your own at Flic en Flac: the warm lagoon and coral reef are accessible from the beach. Diving sites like Snake Reef and Cathedral are nearby and easy to reach, but diving itself is not part of the tour package and would need separate booking.
What's included in the price, and what do I need to bring?
The tour includes private transportation from your hotel, a live guide in English or French, an air-conditioned vehicle, WiFi on board and bottled water. You'll want to bring swimwear, sunscreen and a towel for the beach. Entry to Casela and any optional activities at the park (zip-lines, quad bike, lion walk) may be priced separately depending on what you choose.
