The experience
Seven to eight hours means you move through the day without rushing, but also without lingering at any one stop. The route starts in the Maltese capital and works outward: Marsaxlokk comes first, a working fishing village where the harbor fills with painted luzzu boats and the waterfront holds lunch options. From there you head to the Blue Grotto, where the boat trip depends on the sea state. If conditions allow, you'll motor through caves carved into the limestone cliffs. If not, you see the bay and cliffs from above. Lunch happens at a local restaurant overlooking Filfla Island, a small rocky outcrop offshore.
The second half takes you inland and upward. Dingli sits at Malta's highest point with sheer west-facing cliffs that drop to the sea, and from there you move to Mdina, the Silent City, for a short walk through streets that held Phoenicians, Romans, and the Knights of St John before it stopped being the capital. The day ends at the Mosta Dome, a rotunda church in Malta's second city, its dome one of the largest unsupported in Europe. Your guide carries the knowledge of what each place is and why it matters, and the itinerary itself is flexible. If you want more time at one stop, less at another, or a detour to Gozo instead, the route adjusts to fit.
Hotel pickup is included, so you don't arrange transport to a meeting point. The group stays under eight people, which means the van holds everyone and their bags without a second vehicle. Specialized infant seats are available if you're traveling with young children. The boat trip at the Blue Grotto and entry fees to optional sites are not included in the base price, so you choose them at the point of booking or on the day itself.

Is this one for you?Hotel pickup means you don't need a car or arrange your own way to a starting point. The van collects you and returns you at the end of the day. The private group format keeps the party under eight, so everyone fits in one vehicle with their bags, and the guide adjusts the route and pace to match what your group actually wants to see.

Top questions
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Youth (13 to 17 years); Child (3 to 12 years); Infant (under 3).
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What is the Mosta Dome and why is it worth seeing?
The Mosta Dome is a rotunda church in Mosta, Malta's second city, and one of the largest unsupported domes in Europe. It's an imposing structure and a stop on the day's route, typically visited near the end of the tour.
Can we stop longer at Marsaxlokk or skip it if we're not interested?
Yes. The itinerary is flexible and adjusts to suit your interests. Marsaxlokk is a colorful fishing village with painted boats and waterfront restaurants, but if you'd rather spend that time elsewhere or move through it quickly, your guide can rearrange the day.
What happens if the weather is bad for the Blue Grotto boat trip?
The boat trip through the caves depends on sea conditions. If the weather doesn't allow it, you'll still see the beautiful cliffs and bay from above, and the day continues to the other stops. The boat trip is optional and not included in the base price anyway, so you decide whether to add it when you book.
Does the tour include lunch?
Lunch is not included in the tour price. You stop at a local restaurant overlooking Filfla Island where you can order and pay for your own meal. Your guide can recommend dishes and help with ordering.
Is there time to visit Gozo instead of or in addition to the other stops?
Gozo, Malta's sister island, is not part of the standard itinerary, but your guide can discuss the option with you. A visit would require adjusting the day's route and likely wouldn't fit within the seven to eight hour window alongside all the other stops.
What's included in the price?
Private transportation for your group, a licensed English-speaking guide, and hotel pickup are included. Entry fees to sites like the Mosta Dome and the Blue Grotto boat trip are separate and optional.
