You'll spend the 2-hour snorkel in the water with an experienced crew member, who handles the boat and can point out what moves through the reef. Turtles and reef sharks are regular sightings, though the marine life shifts with season and tide.

Pickup happens from Male airport jetty, Male city or Maafushi, and the round-trip transport runs by shared speedboat. The snorkel itself is private (your own boat and crew), but the boat ride to and from the reef shares space with other groups heading out that morning. Allow 3.5 to 4 hours for the entire arrangement. The actual time in the water is 2 hours. Snorkeling equipment, underwater photos and videos shot by the crew are all included.

If you want to extend the morning, the crew can add a stop at the Sandbank as an optional add-on, where you can wade and explore the shallows. The experience ends with a return to your starting point.
