The Experience

Chinatown was chaos in the best way; I tried saying “char kuey teow” properly at lunch and Li laughed—probably butchered it.

The drive back to Port Klang felt quieter, maybe because we were tired or maybe because Kuala Lumpur leaves you sort of full—in your head and your stomach both. Hafiz made sure we got back before our ship left (he checked his phone more than once). There’s something about seeing all those places in one day that makes you want to come back slower next time. I still think about those monkeys at Batu Caves sometimes—you know?
