Roll, press and cut spaghetti by hand, then eat what you made.

A three-hour cooking class in a local home in Luxembourg where you make spaghetti alla chitarra from scratch, prepare artisan focaccia, and finish with rustic apple cake, hosted by a passionate home cook. The class includes a welcome cocktail, the meal you cook, and time to eat together around the table. You choose between a lunch or dinner departure.

The experience

Three hours covers the whole arc: you start with an aperitivo of house-made focaccia, preserves and a handcrafted cocktail while you meet the host. Then comes the pasta. You mix the dough, work it by hand, and learn the rhythm of spaghetti alla chitarra. The traditional cut that gives the pasta its name and texture. The host walks you through each step, and your hands do the work. When it's ready, you plate the spaghetti with a slow-simmered sauce built to match what you've made, not the other way around.

The meal happens at the table together. There's no performance, no plating for a photo. Just the food you cooked, the people you cooked with, and the kind of conversation that happens when you've spent an afternoon in a kitchen. A warm apple crumb cake closes the evening. The class is hosted by Cesarine, Italy's oldest network of home cooks, so what you get is an Italian perspective that restaurants can't offer: the way someone actually cooks at home, not a stage version of it.

The host speaks English and Italian. You'll need to arrange your own transport to the home. Public transit options are nearby. You pick lunch or dinner when you book, and both follow the same format: the time just shifts to fit your day in Luxembourg.
