Meals and accommodation are included, along with park entry and all transport from the city. The Experience

You're picked up from your Nairobi hotel at 8am, then driven west toward the Rift Valley viewpoint before heading into the Masai Mara National Reserve. The journey takes most of the morning — lunch stops in Narok town at noon — and by 3pm you're checking into a tented camp or lodge inside the park. That first afternoon, your guide takes you out on an introduction game drive to spot whatever's moving across the savannah: zebras, giraffes, warthogs, birds. You're back at camp by 6:30pm for a hot shower and dinner. The pace is deliberate, not rushed.

Day two is the real safari day. Breakfast at the camp, then you're out by 8am with a packed lunch, spending the full day tracking the Big Five — lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino, elephant — across the rolling grassland. The Masai Mara has an extensive network of roads and tracks that lets you get close enough to photograph and watch behavior without disturbing the animals. Your guide knows where to look and what the animals are doing. Around 1pm you break for lunch, usually near the Mara River where hippos and crocodiles gather along the banks. If the Great Migration is happening (typically July to October), you'll see the river crossings — thousands of wildebeest and zebras moving through. After lunch, you're back out until evening. There's an optional visit to a Maasai village before you return to camp, though gratuities (around $15 per person) go to the community.

On the final morning, breakfast and checkout, then the drive back to Nairobi with lunch en route. You arrive at your hotel or the airport between 3 and 4pm. The whole 3-day Masai Mara safari is all-inclusive: park entry fees, accommodation with meals, transport in a modified safari vehicle, and hotel or airport pickup and drop-off from the city. Groups stay small — maximum 6 people — so the vehicle doesn't feel crowded and the guide can focus on what you want to see. Accommodation includes a bed, linen, towels, hot water on schedule, and electricity.

When is the best time to see the Great Migration?

The migration typically crosses the Mara River between July and October. If you're visiting during those months, your guide will prioritize the river crossings where you can watch thousands of wildebeest and zebras moving through.

How long is the drive from Nairobi to Masai Mara?

The drive is roughly 5 to 6 hours, including a lunch stop in Narok town at noon. You're picked up at 8am and arrive at the camp around 3pm on day one.

What's included in the price?

Park entry fees, accommodation with meals, transport in a safari vehicle, hotel or airport pickup and drop-off from Nairobi, and all game drives are included. Gratuities for Maasai village visits (if you choose that option) are separate.

How many people are in each group?

Groups are kept small, with a maximum of 6 people per vehicle. This allows for closer wildlife viewing and more personalized attention from your guide.

Do I need to be fit for this safari?

The safari is suitable for all physical fitness levels. Most of the time is spent sitting in the vehicle during game drives. The main activity is watching and photographing wildlife from the jeep.

What kind of accommodation is provided?

What if I'm flying in? Can I be picked up from the airport?

Yes, airport pickup is included. You'll be picked up at your specified time and transferred to meet the group before departure to the Masai Mara at 8:30am.
