The experience

You're picked up from your Nairobi hotel after breakfast and driven southwest through the Great Rift Valley escarpment, stopping at a viewing point to see the valley drop away below. The route passes through Masai Town Narok before reaching the camp by lunchtime. That afternoon you have your first game drive until sunset, scanning the plains for movement.

Day two is the full-day reserve experience: an early breakfast, then a complete day on the Mara with a packed lunch, searching for Masai villages and wildlife. Your driver helps you spot species across the savannahs, and you visit the Mara River where the wildebeest migration happens each July through October: 1.5 million animals moving across the grasslands. The reserve is the only protected area in Kenya with an indigenous black rhino population, and hippos and crocodiles gather in large groups in the rivers. You return to camp for dinner and overnight.

On the final morning you can arrange additional activities before heading back to Nairobi, or depart directly. The tour includes all meals, accommodation at the camp, the 4x4 vehicle with your professional driver guide, a Masai guide for the game drives, and the national park entrance fee. The guide speaks English or German.
