You’ll see Wadi Rum’s famous rock bridges, ancient canyons, and desert springs—all in one day—then relax in a private Bedouin tent under the stars. If you want adventure plus real local flavor (and don’t mind a bit of sand in your shoes), this is it.
Sand crunches under your shoes as you hop off the back of the jeep—already, the air smells faintly of cardamom from the tea our guide brewed at Lawrence Spring. The sun’s not too harsh yet, but you’ll want a scarf for the breeze whipping across the red dunes. We stopped to climb up one—felt like being on another planet, honestly. Our Bedouin guide, Khaled, pointed out tiny desert flowers poking through the sand. Never would’ve noticed them on my own.
Khazali Canyon was next. It’s cooler inside, with old petroglyphs scratched into the stone walls. You can run your fingers over them—feels like touching a piece of history. There’s always a quiet hum of wind here, echoing between the rocks. At Mushroom Rock, we took a break for sweet tea and watched a herd of goats wander past (their bells are surprisingly loud). Lunch was simple but filling: flatbread, hummus, grilled veggies—nothing fancy but tasted perfect after all that sand and sun.
Later in the day, we scrambled up Little Bridge and Um Fruth Rock Bridge—both give you wild views over endless orange valleys. By late afternoon, shadows stretch long across Burdah Rock Bridge and Abu Khashaba Canyon. The silence is almost total except for an occasional jeep rumble far off. When sunset hit, everything turned gold and pink; I just sat there quietly for a while. That night at camp, tucked into my own tent with thick blankets and stars overhead, I felt like I’d finally unplugged from everything else.
Absolutely! The jeep ride is comfortable for most people and our guides help at every stop. You don’t need any special experience or gear.
A light jacket (it cools down at night), comfy shoes for walking on sand, sunglasses, and maybe a scarf for dust or sun. Everything else is provided at camp.
Yes—all meals are included: lunch during the tour, dinner at camp, and breakfast in the morning. Expect fresh bread, salads, grilled veggies, chicken or lamb (vegetarian options too), plus lots of tea.
