The experience
You start by choosing your wood from a complete collection of premium species, each with its own color and grain pattern. The instructor walks you through shaping and sanding your chopsticks using traditional techniques. This is hands-on work, not a demonstration. Once they're finished, you move to the laser engraving station and personalize them with your name, a date, or any word that matters to you. That engraving is included, and the chopsticks go home in protective packaging.
The workshop sits in the heart of Asakusa with views of both the neighborhood and SkyTree, whether you book a daytime or evening session. The space is wheelchair accessible, all surfaces are level, and all the tools and materials you need are provided. A live guide in English or Japanese is there for every step, so language is not a barrier.
What’s included
- Premium wood of your choice from the complete collection.
- one pair of handcrafted chopsticks.
- complimentary laser engraving with your name or a meaningful word.
