The experience

The lagoon sits on Jamaica's north coast and holds one of the world's few bioluminescent ecosystems. Your guide picks you up at your hotel in the evening and drives you there in an air-conditioned vehicle. When you arrive, you board a small boat and head out onto the water under moonlight. The guide hands you a welcome drink (a choice of blended Jamaican rum punch or spring water), and begins explaining the science behind the glow as the boat moves through the lagoon.
