The experience

The jet car is a two-seater speedboat you operate yourself, not a jet ski you ride on, and not a tour boat where someone else drives. You get 30 minutes behind the wheel, pushing the engine up to 60 mph across the open water while a certified instructor walks you through the controls before you launch. A lifeguard on a jet ski stays with you the entire time, watching from the water. You wear a life jacket and water shoes. The operator provides both, along with a towel and sunglasses if you need them.

Round-trip transportation picks you up from your hotel and brings you back, so you don't need a car or a taxi to get there. The whole experience (travel, instruction, 30 minutes on the water, and return) takes about an hour and a half. You'll sign a waiver and bring your ID before you go, and you can add a meal after: either a KFC option built into the price, or authentic jerk chicken from Scotchies or Pork Pit at your own cost.
