The experience

A Cesarine host (part of Italy's network of over 1,000 home cooks) opens their home and walks you through the preparation of a seasonal starter, fresh pasta, a main course with side dish, and a Valdostano dessert. You're not watching a demonstration. You're helping, learning the techniques and the stories behind recipes that have lived in family cookbooks for generations. The whole cooking part takes about an hour.

After you finish cooking, you sit down together to eat what you made. The meal comes with a selection of red and white wines from regional cellars (the host chooses only wines from the territory) plus water and a real Italian espresso at the end. The dining portion runs about two hours, so you're not rushed through it. You choose whether you want this experience at lunch or dinner when you book.
