The experience
The tour starts from Sant'Agostino's floating dock and heads north along the west shore, passing Daniel Libeskind's Life Electric sculpture almost immediately. From there, the route unfolds through a sequence of named landmarks: Villa Olmo's neoclassical gardens, Villa Erba (once Luchino Visconti's home), the five-star Villa d'Este, and Gianni Versace's villa le Cassinelle in Moltrasio. The boat then reaches Laglio to show Villa Oleandra, George Clooney's Lake Como residence, before crossing toward Comacina Island, the only island on the lake, where swimming is possible.
The second half of the route brings you across the water to the Orrido di Nesso and its Roman Civera bridge, then south past Faggeto Lario and into Torno, a small village built directly at water level. The itinerary continues past the Mandarin Oriental and the Troubetzkoy villa in Blevio before returning toward Como. Throughout, the captain provides local stories and historical context. The pace is yours to set. You decide which villages warrant a stop to walk around, and swimming breaks happen wherever you want them.
Onboard you'll find an aperitif, bottled water, beach towels and a restroom. The boat holds up to six people, so the group stays small enough that the captain can tailor the route to what interests you most. Tours are entirely customizable, meaning you can request detours, longer stops or different emphasis depending on what draws you: the villas, the villages, the swimming, or simply the views.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and Italian.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the difference between stopping to swim and stopping to explore a village?

Does the tour visit George Clooney's villa?
Villa Oleandra in Laglio, George Clooney's Lake Como home, is one of the stops the boat passes. You see it from the water as part of the route along the west shore.
Can I customize the route if there's a specific villa or village I want to spend more time on?
Yes. All tours are entirely customizable, so you can request the captain adjust the itinerary to focus on what interests you most, whether that's more time in one village, extra stops, or a different emphasis on the landmarks.
What's included in the aperitif?
One bottle of bubbles is included on board, along with bottled water, towels and use of the restroom.
How many people can fit on the boat?
The private boat accommodates up to six passengers, keeping the group small and allowing the captain to personalize the experience.
