This is not a speedboat tour. You'll sail with Ricky, a local skipper who runs a small boat through the central part of Como Lake: the area locals call the Golden Triangle. The boat holds a maximum of six passengers plus the captain, so you're never crammed in with a crowd. As you move between Bellagio, Varenna, Menaggio and Tremezzo, you'll hear stories and myths about the lake while the boat's music plays in the background. The pace is built for relaxing, not rushing.

Prosecco and a local aperitivo come on board: both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, plus soft drinks and beer. If the weather cooperates, Ricky will anchor at a secluded spot where you can swim in the water. Bring your swimsuit. The boat has a toilet on board and a sun shade to keep you comfortable. The tour covers fuel, insurance and all fees, so there are no surprises at the end.

Two departure times are available: a morning slot (10am–2pm) or an afternoon one (3pm–7pm). The morning tour runs four hours. The afternoon option is three hours. The skipper speaks English and Italian, and the itinerary can shift depending on how long the tour runs and what the weather allows on the day.
