The Experience

The morning didn’t go quite as planned — I somehow managed to wear two different socks (didn’t notice until halfway to Sorrento), but our driver just grinned and said, “It’s good luck here.” The van ride was quiet except for the winding roads and that faint lemony smell you get near the coast. I’d heard about the Path of the Gods hike before but didn’t expect it to feel so… raw. The path itself is rocky underfoot, sometimes dusty, sometimes soft where moss creeps in. At one point we passed an old farmer leading his goats along a terrace.
