The experience

By the time I found our guide near those flags in Piazza Tasso, Sorrento was already humming: scooters weaving past, a bakery scent drifting over. We piled into a minivan (air-conditioned, thank goodness) and headed for Bomerano. I didn’t expect the road to twist so much. Someone up front pointed out lemon groves clinging to impossible slopes. The Path of the Gods hike itself felt like stepping into some old painting but with sweat and laughter. The trail hugs the cliffs at 650 meters above sea level.
