Naples Pizza Class: Learn to Make Authentic Margherita
Make your own Neapolitan pizza from dough to oven, then taste it fresh.
A pizza-making class in Naples where you learn to knead, shape and bake either a Margherita or Marinara pizza using San Marzano tomatoes and traditional technique, guided step by step by a local chef over nearly two hours. The class includes a secret dish, a glass of wine, beer or soda, and the pizza you've made. Children from age 3 are welcome. The exact location is revealed when you book—it's a working Neapolitan kitchen, not a tourist venue.
The Experience
You'll spend nearly two hours in a working Naples kitchen learning the craft that defines the city. A local chef walks you through each stage: mixing and kneading the dough, stretching it to size, topping your choice of Margherita or Marinara, and firing it in the oven. The ingredients are the real ones—San Marzano tomatoes, proper yeast, the ovens that matter. You're not watching a demonstration; you're doing the work, with the chef correcting your hands and explaining the details that separate Neapolitan pizza from everywhere else.
Once your pizza comes out of the oven, you sit down and eat it. That's the point—the pizza you made, still warm. Along the way, you'll get a secret dish (the operator doesn't name it in advance; that's the surprise), and a glass of wine, beer or soda. The kitchen itself is kept secret until you book; it's a real working space in Naples, not a tourist setup.
Weekday and weekend classes run separately, so you can choose the timing that fits your trip. The guide speaks English and Italian. If you have dietary needs, contact the operator before the class so they can adjust what they prepare for you.

Is this one for you?Book a weekday class if you want a smaller group and a quieter kitchen; the weekend class draws more people but keeps the same hands-on instruction and pace. Either way, you're making the pizza yourself—the chef guides you, but your hands do the work.

What's the difference between the Margherita and Marinara pizza I can make?
Margherita is topped with tomato, mozzarella and basil; Marinara is tomato, garlic and oregano. You choose which one you want to make when you arrive, and that's the pizza you'll bake and eat.
Do I need any cooking experience to join the Naples pizza class?
No. The chef teaches you from the beginning—how to knead, how to stretch the dough, how to work with the oven. You learn by doing, not by watching.
What happens if I have a food allergy or dietary restriction?
Contact the operator in advance and let them know what you can't eat or need to avoid. They'll adjust the ingredients and the secret dish to suit your needs.
Is the location really kept secret until I book?
Yes. The kitchen is a working Neapolitan spot, not a tourist venue, and the operator reveals the exact address once your booking is confirmed.
Can children come to the pizza class?
Children from age 3 are welcome. They can make their own pizza and eat it, though you may want to help younger ones with the oven part.
