Taste three award-winning oils while standing in the olive groves where they're grown

A two-hour guided activity at a family-run olive estate on Lake Garda where you explore the groves and production facilities, then taste award-winning extra virgin oils using official tasting glasses alongside infused oils, pâtés and olives. The experience includes a tour of the olive groves with the estate's history, a visit to the production laboratory, and a guided tasting of Garda DOP, Premium Selection, and Oro del Vajo oils. Depending on the season, you may see live harvesting (October–November) or pruning (February–April) in the groves.

The experience

Two hours at a Lake Garda olive estate means you start in the groves themselves, walking among the trees with views of the Morainic hills and the lake behind them. The guide walks you through the estate's history and the olive-growing tradition here, then takes you into the production laboratory and storage facilities to see how the oil moves from harvest to bottle. If you're there in October through November, you might catch the live harvesting. February through April brings pruning demonstrations instead.

The tasting uses official tasting glasses (the same equipment professional oil tasters use), and moves through three estate-produced oils: Garda DOP, Premium Selection, and Oro del Vajo. Alongside them come naturally infused varieties (chili, lemon, basil, rosemary, garlic), pâtés, and olives from the estate, all served on fresh bread. This is not a quick pour-and-sip. The guide walks you through what you're tasting and why each oil tastes the way it does.

The estate also sells natural cosmetic products made with their olive oil and other local specialties if you want to take something home beyond the tasting itself.
