The route continues past Villa Pizzo, a 16th-century summer residence with terraced gardens descending to the water, and Villa Le Fontanelle in Moltrasio, once owned by Gianni Versace and still marked by its multi-level gardens and centuries-old trees. Your captain navigates the boat close enough to see the architectural detail and the scale of these private estates without leaving the water.

The village of Laglio appears next, recognizable by George Clooney's Villa Oleandra and a curious pyramid structure on the shore. From there the boat reaches the Nesso waterfalls, where the tour stops for swimming, snacks and a prosecco or wine tasting. You can photograph the falls and spend time in the water before the return journey passes Villa Cademartori and Villa Pasta in Blevio, and the Mandarin Oriental resort with its floating pool, before arriving back at Como. The entire route takes two hours and covers only what is reachable by boat: sites landlocked tours cannot reach.
