Step-by-step itinerary
Explore Sicilian villages and Taormina
- Visit medieval village Savoca
- Explore Forza D'Agrò village
- Spend two hours in Taormina
- Taste authentic Sicilian cannolo
The experience
The tour opens in Savoca, the medieval village where Francis Ford Coppola filmed Michael Corleone's Sicilian scenes in The Godfather (parts 1 and 2). Beyond the movie connection, the village holds the Pentefur Castle, a 12th-century limestone arch, and an ancient monastery: each one a stop on the walk through narrow streets and stone buildings. From there you move to Forza d'Agrò, another 14th-century village perched above the coast with its own monastery and historic center, also used in the Godfather production.
Taormina is the final stop, where you have two hours to walk the pedestrian Valeria road: the main thoroughfare lined with the town's key attractions, shops and restaurants. Before the return journey, the tour offers an authentic Sicilian cannolo, a pastry the operator describes as a must-taste in Sicily. Bottled water is provided throughout the day. A live guide in your chosen language (English, Spanish, Italian, French or another) leads the group, and hotel pickup is included in the booking.
