The experience

Four hours on a quad takes you from Cefalù into the Madonie Regional Natural Park, following trails that shepherds have used for centuries. You start with a briefing on safety and how to handle the machine, then ride toward Gibilmanna Sanctuary, a place of worship perched in the hills above the town. There's a stop to visit the sanctuary itself, though the internal visit depends on its opening hours. The staff stays with you throughout the ride.

The route ends in Castelbuono, where you park the quad and walk through the village to Bar Fiasconaro. The bakery is famous enough that it's a destination in itself: you'll taste panettone, liqueur and sweets made there. Fuel, helmet, and third-party insurance are included, so there's nothing else to arrange before you ride.

Each quad seats two people. If you're 18 or older, you operate it. If you're 6–17, you ride as a passenger. Bring your original driver's license: no photocopies or photographs accepted. Non-European license holders need an international driving permit.
