The Experience

I didn’t expect the water to be that clear. We left from Sorrento port in the morning—my friend was already laughing because I almost tripped on the gangway (classic me). After drying off in the sun, we cruised into Positano—the houses stacked up like pastel boxes. It was busy but not overwhelming; people sipped espresso at little cafes right by the beach. Lunch happened somewhere above Amalfi—fresh pasta, local wine, and that view down the coast that still pops into my head sometimes when I’m stuck in traffic back home.

The day just sort of drifted after that—Prosecco on deck, warm wind, Marco telling us about his favorite swimming spots as we headed back toward Sorrento. I think what surprised me most was how easy it all felt: no rushing, no big crowds (except maybe in Positano), just our group and the sound of water slapping against the hull.
