The Experience

We were already winding through those impossible curves above the sea when our driver, Marco, pointed out a lemon grove clinging to the hillside — “That’s where they make limoncello,” he said, grinning. I could smell something citrusy even with the windows up. The road from Naples to Amalfi is famous for being dramatic, but it’s also just… alive. There was this little café where I ordered espresso and tried saying “grazie mille” properly — got corrected twice by the barista but she smiled anyway. By then I’d stopped checking my phone for time; sometimes you just want to let yourself drift a bit.
