Step-by-step itinerary
Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Dead Sea tour
- Pick-up from central Tel Aviv
- Guided tour of Jerusalem’s Old City
- Tour Bethlehem and Church of the Nativity
- Relax and float at the Dead Sea
- Drop off in Tel Aviv
The experience
The day starts with pickup from central Tel Aviv and heads east toward Jerusalem. Your guide leads you through the Old City's four quarters, stopping at the Western Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and walking the Via Dolorosa. The route Jesus is believed to have taken to his crucifixion. The guide shares the history and significance of each site as you move through the narrow streets and stone passages.
From Jerusalem, the tour continues south to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity, one of Christianity's oldest churches and the site long revered as the birthplace of Jesus. The church sits above the grotto, though access to it depends on visitor numbers on the day you go. The Old City walking involves climbing several sets of stairs, so the pace is steady and the terrain uneven in places.
The final stop is the Dead Sea, where you have free time to float in its mineral-rich waters and take in the desert landscape at the lowest point on Earth. The minerals in the water make floating effortless, and many travelers use this time to relax and soak in the healing properties the sea is known for. The tour wraps with a return to Tel Aviv by evening.

Top questions
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (under 12).
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What exactly is the Western Wall and why is it significant?
The Western Wall is the only surviving wall of the Second Jewish Temple, destroyed in 70 CE, and it stands in the Old City of Jerusalem. It is one of Judaism's holiest sites and a place of prayer and pilgrimage for centuries.
Can I actually go down into the grotto beneath the Church of the Nativity?
The grotto lies beneath the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, but access to descend into it is not guaranteed because of the high number of visitors on most days. Your guide will let you know whether it is possible when you arrive.
What should I wear to visit the holy sites on this tour?
Modest dress is required at all holy sites, with knees and shoulders covered. This applies to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem and the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, so plan your clothing accordingly.
How much walking and climbing is involved in the Old City?
The Old City tour includes a lot of walking through narrow streets and climbing several sets of stairs as you move between quarters and sites. If you have limited mobility or prefer a less active experience, a different tour may be a better fit.
Is there time to swim or float in the Dead Sea, or just look at it?
You have free time at the Dead Sea to float in the water and enjoy the mineral-rich experience. The tour does not include a formal swimming session, but the free time is yours to use for floating, relaxing, or exploring the shoreline.
