The morning starts with Jomblang Cave, a sinkhole cave formed thousands of years ago when soil and vegetation collapsed into the earth, leaving a well-like opening about 50 meters across at ground level. You descend into that opening and move through the cave system itself: the geological process that shaped it is visible in the walls and the scale of the space.

The second half of the day moves to Timang Beach, where the real draw is the gondola: a wooden cable car made from acacia wood and rope, built in 1997 by fishermen who needed a way to reach Timang Island (a large boulder in the middle of the ocean) to harvest lobster. The waves and currents made boats impossible, so they rigged this single-person gondola on stationary ropes. It still works the same way. You ride it out across open water to the island, then back. The gondola is the only way to reach the island. There's no alternative route.
